Elvastons Wild Wednesdays

 

Every Wednesday from 5 August to 2 September 2015, 10.30am to 3pm.

Go wild every Wednesday in the summer holidays at Elvaston Castle. Each week has a different activity on offer, including environmental art, wildlife, nature, woodland skills and much more.

Meet: Elvaston Castle Country Park, lawn in front of the castle.

Equipment: Suitable clothing and footwear.

Cost: Small charge for activities. Parking charges apply.

 

Bugs and Beasties

Join the Elvaston Castle Wardens to learn about bugs and beasties! Go on a Bug Hunt and make your own Dragonfly! Bug Hunts &1 per child (must be accompanied by an adult − free!) Make your own Dragonfly 50p each.

Bug Hunts at: 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2.30pm


Wonderful Wildlife

We are delighted to welcome Derbyshire Wildlife Trust today, have a go at their activity and take a stroll through the grounds and play Elvaston Wildlife Bingo! (50p per child).



Nature day

Join the Elvaston Castle Wardens and the RSPB for a day inspired by Nature. Free activities from the RSPB and a range of Nature inspired art and crafts to have a go at will be on offer. 50p per art activity.

 


To Infinity and Beyond…Bottle Rockets with a Ranger! 

Wednesday 2 September

Make and launch your very own water powered bottle rocket! Bring an empty, clean plastic bottle (500ml or 2ltr work well) to turn in to a recycled rocket!

Launch times throughout the day at: 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. 50p per bottle rocket.
