Gainsborough Retreats offered the exclusive use hire venue and not forgetting the stunning countryside location of Egginton Hall to Larissa Stansbie & Adam Steward, to accommodate their wedding celebration in July.
We wanted to make sure the start of their married life began with a celebration that they and their guests would never forget. Set in the heart of rural Derbyshire they escaped from the hustle and bustle and enjoyed the company of friends and family for a truly exclusive day - without time restrictions or having another bride and groom arriving on their tail!
The day started with setting up all the table decorations and flower arrangements on the Saturday morning in the Orangery. The Orangery looked stunning as the morning sun shone through the conservatory room with it's high wooden beamed ceiling and glistened onto all the decorations. Next on the list was to prepare the Summer House for the ceremony where all the guests would witness the happy couple speaking their vows.
At Midday all the guests started to arrive and were guided to have a stroll around the to the Lake House where the surroundings of the lake were beautiful to take in and relax until the ceremony began.
The ceremony started at 1pm in the Summer House by the lake. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining it's rays on the happy couple, but perfectly shaded by the blossoming trees which enveloped around the guests to keep them cool.
Confetti was thrown under the flowered archway which leads to the iron bridge where guests crossed over to the island for photos, drinks and canapés. Under the large cedar tree the guests could keep their drinks chilled and admire the gardens and nature.
After the drinks reception, Gainsborough Retreats then guided the wedding party to the Orangery for their meal and the speeches and champagne were soon flowing nicely! Acoustic music was played throughout and the extravagant floor to ceiling patio doors open so guests could feel at ease indoors but with the 'outdoors' vibe surrounding them.
After the meal the guests could freely wander around the gardens, lake and summer house, taking their own romantic stroll, spending time with friends and family and children could play hide and seek in the gardens. The evening party was held in the Midnight Garden and Courtyard area where a live band, DJ and BBQ soon got the party started! It certainly was a celebration to remember!
