Sat 6 and Sun 7 September 2014, the Festival's famous Art and Architecture Trail, when art takes over the town.
The town comes alive with thousands of visitors all enjoying the work of hundreds of artists and makers showing their work in delightful houses, historic and quirky buildings, gardens, shop windows and churches; you can also enjoy street theatre, film, music plus great food and drink.
Wirksworth Festival's Art & Architecture Trail is the perfect chance to meet artists, buy affordable art and take a peek inside some of Derbyshire’s most beautiful homes.
During the Art & Architecture Trail Weekend, you can also enjoy:

• Designer Maker Markets - some of the region’s best designer makers - meet the makers, discuss their work and choose pieces to buy and take away!

• Clypping the Church - join in the ancient ‘Clypping Service’, where the congregation join hands around St. Mary’s Church to embrace or ‘clypp’ it.
Last year over 4,000 people visited the town to enjoy the Opening Trail Weekend and artists took at least &40,000 in artwork sales, so this is your chance to buy affordable art for your home and see some of the finest work on offer.
