Delicious Guilt Free Christmas Chocolate Balls


Here's the recipe for guilt free Christmas Chocolate Balls. This recipe contains no refined sugar, contains plenty of antioxidants in the cacao powder and tastes great. If you want to spice it up try it with a bit of ground cumin and a pinch of Pink Himalayan salt.

  • 10 pitted dates
  • 50g raw cacao powder
  • 25g ground almonds
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 200g desiccated coconut 
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 6 tbsp xylitol

Preheat oven to 180C

Mix dates, cacao, almonds, turmeric and water in a good powerful blender to make a sticky paste.

Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and blend to a coarse consistency.

From the mixture roll 12 balls, placing them on a baking tray lined with unbleached non-stick baking paper.

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.

If you'd like to spice the balls up add a tsp of ground cumin and a large pinch of Pink Himalayan salt to the mixture.
